couple things to close out the year…

It has come to my attention that this year is coming to an abrupt and sudden end, this will happen tonite, it is inevitable.

So what has this year been to me?

1. I pushed through the completion of another Masters Degree, to which many hours were spent in stressful anxiety and dissecting contemplation.

2. I spent a summer in Colorado (3rd straight summer) which seems to have been my last foray into the camping environment… at least for the next few years. This fact saddens me. It is a good place and the people have made it great!

3. I did not attend a wedding. Which is the first time that in the last 6 years that i could say that, though the latter end of 2007 saw 3 engagements of friends… which will carry over into a robust wedding season of 2008. Bring on the dancin’.

4. I read over 25 books… some fiction, some theological, some business. I seem to have the book appetite like that of a starving hummingbird (they eat 1.5 - 3 times their weight every day!).

5. I began writing a book. A process that I hope will be finished in time to add, “I wrote a book.” on next years New Year’s Eve Checklist.

6. I moved to OKC, looked for a job, got a job, became a partner, and now I love waking up to go to work.

7. Traveled: To Trinidad & Tobago, and to New Zealand. Learned about culture, saw oceans, and mountains, and hills, and rainforests, and rivers that captured my imagination.

8. Didn’t break a bone. Which should become a goal of mine every year.

I hope all we all can look favorably back on 2007, and see where God has taken us or brought us through. That in all of our accomplishments, successes and failures we can say that we have lived to the glory of God!

Hope you all have a Happy New Year and that 2008 will be a prosperous year for your dreams, desires and relationships!
