focus on the process, not the product…

When we focus on the process our creativity flourishes, it becomes an adventure to be tackled head-on… When we focus on the product we get sluggish and critical; daunted by the end-goal, we miss out on the journey of creative process.

We don’t lose sight of the final product, that would be naive, instead we need to let it lie in the peripheral. On the outskirts it acts as a boundary, rather than a guide rope. Creativity needs room to roam and find it’s inspiration, and is usually stifled when directed too strictly.

Just some of my thoughts on creativity…
When does your creativity flourish?
