plan from here…

so it seems that school is wrenching my wrist, in turn affecting my ability to focus on the pain inflicted by spam-ers. So my plan of attack it to get my page up and running again within the week (whether this will happen is highly suspect)…

I hope this brief period of absence will allow you to focus on more important things like food, water, and family… more likely though you will fill lost time spent on my site elsewhere in the netherworlds of the world wide web. If that is the case document your adventures, let me know if you stumble upon something noteworthy or of some significance.

In other news, I watched V for Vendetta. Excellent. I left the theatre entertained, but also highly introspective (what did that movie mean to me?). Also I wondered if those leaving the theatre caught some of the undertones of political, spiritual and human hypocrisy. I couldn’t imagine missing these themes, although I am a deep thinker, I wonder (at times) if anyone else is.

More thoughts to ponder on this movie, definitely a must see, I will probably own it some day, as I own a total of 10 movies this is a high remark (truth be told, 5 of those movies are surf movies) not that I don’t enjoy movies, on the contrary, I do! Most just aren’t worth buying, few (in my opinion) are worth seeing more than once.

My catholic friend hated it. He left the theatre deeply grieved at the undertones of homosexuality. I haven’t personally seen it yet. But I thought it was interesting that he had such a strong reaction to it. He usually is pretty openminded…but evidently he hates sin being applauded. Which is cool…Did you catch any of that undertone?

Undertones of homosexuality…

there were no undertones, it was blatant and central theme to the movie, the undertone was… love.

We call ourselves a christian state but we do not love the prostitute, the homeless, the drunkard, the homosexual… the sinner… the movie focused on homosexuality because it is an issue of the day, just as slavery and segragation was a central issue to our recent U.S. history. The basis of the movie was the imprisonment and death of political and social activists. Those whose ideas were contrary to the ideas of the state, and in this movie the state was a “christian state” albeit a twisted one.

Hypocrisy was the issue, and love the cure.

You will have to see the movie to understand my stance, and most christians will and are probably offended by this movie, unfortunately there offense, will not wake them up and make them realize they are the ones who are being hypocritical and potraying christianity in exactly the way this movie portrays it to be.
